About WiN Australia
Who We Are - Connecting Professionals Across Borders
Women in Nuclear (WiN) Australia Inc. was founded in 2003 on the lands of the Dharawal people at Lucas Heights in NSW. Historically, WiN Australia was centred on the women working at our national nuclear laboratory, the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO). ANSTO was a founding sponsor and continues to be a supporter of the work WiN Australia does.
Over twenty years later, WiN Australia now operates across the entirety of this beautiful nation, with over 500 members across all facets of nuclear and radiation industries, WiN Australia is an incorporated association registered in NSW. WiN Australia is one of 60 chapters across 145 countries that form WiN Global. WiN Global, founded in 1992, is a non-profit organisation of professionals working in various areas of nuclear and radiological applications.
